On the art of distillation and enjoyment
A unique distillate is born through the careful selection of high-quality ingredients. At Gutshof Isser Estate, we exclusively process hand-picked apples and grapes from our orchards and vineyards, resulting in an unparalleled experience with apple schnapps and grappa. We collaborate with trusted partners for sourcing quinces, raspberries, apricots, and pears, ensuring the fruit is delivered to us at the peak of freshness and perfect ripeness.
Distilling is a refinement process that demands care, intricate craftsmanship, and patience. Christine bottles the fruit’s purest form, without any additives or sugar. She only uses pure mountain spring water from Parcines to dilute the distillate to achieve the desired drinking strength.

[title] => Grappa Vernatsch matured in small oak barrels
[content] => Christine dedicates a portion of her Grappa Vernatsch to age for 12 months within a compact French oak barrel. This special barrel, handcrafted meticulously by Bozner's barrel maker, Mittelberger, is tailored exclusively for the Gutshof Isser Estate. The resulting grappa gleams with an enticing bright amber yellow in the glass. On the nose, sophisticated notes of berries and cherries intermingle seamlessly with subtle barrel-driven hints of dark chocolate and coffee beans. Upon tasting, the grappa unveils a delicate and juicy profile, its rich, smooth essence persisting into an impressively long finish. This grappa appears tailor-made for rounding off an evening with the warmth of a crackling fireplace.
We recommend the oak-aged Grappa Vernatsch as a special digestif

[description] => On the Gutshof Isser Estate, we live a sustainable life. The pomace used to create our exceptional grappa is sourced solely from our vineyards. We carefully nurture the grapes throughout the seasons, from the winter pruning to the blossoming phase, culminating in the harvest during late summer and autumn. In the cellar, Felix transforms them into expressive wines full of minerality, freshness, and induced drinking pleasure. At the same time, Christine still receives the pomace in perfect quality and pure freshness. In the glass, the grape's essence enchants an exquisite wine variety medley. So, our grappa as a digestif represents the absolute highlight of the evening.

[title] => Grappa Vernatsch
[content] => Like its big brother, the Vernatsch wine (a Schiava variety), the Grappa Vernatsch provides pleasantly uncomplicated drinking pleasure. Following the production of red wine, Felix extracts the pomace with a gentle press. Christine then distils it instantly to preserve the final product's freshness and unique aromatic notes. The Grappa Vernatsch greets the senses with a refreshingly mild aroma of red berries, cherries, and freshly harvested grapes, complemented by subtle undertones of almond blossom and violet. The grappa is invigorating and succulent on the palate, exhibiting a fine, mellow texture and a soothing, soft finish. For concluding a flavorful yet light meal, it is the ideal digestif.

[title] => Grappa Moscato Giallo-Pinot Blanc
[content] => The grappa from the two grape varieties Pinot Blanc and Moscato Giallo combines fruit and intense aroma. After distillation, Christine allows it to mature for two years so that the aromas can evolve and blend. The grappa has an intense and elegant scent of grapes, peaches, elderflowers, and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it is aromatic and intense, with a velvety body and a long finish.
We recommend the Goldmuskateller-Pinot Blanc grappa with spicy, mature cheese, a South Tyrolean bacon snack, and Kaminwurze, a typical smoked sausage.

[title] => Fruit Schnaps
[description] => Using only fresh, undamaged, and aromatic, fully ripe fruits is a matter of honour for Christine. The meticulous process begins with maceration and fermentation, followed by the distillation of the raw spirit. Christine fires the still with wood, adding an extra touch of craftsmanship. During the second distillation, the utmost care and a slow process are crucial to preserving the precious aromas, allowing them to grace the schnapps glass in their unadulterated form. Cheers!
We recommend enjoying our fruit brandies between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius. It is advisable to consume opened bottles within one year. When stored in a cool and dark place, unopened bottles will maintain their elegance and freshness for many years to come.

[title] => Apple Schnapps Cuvée
[content] => For this intensely fruity schnapps, Christine blends three apple varieties: Golden Delicious, Jonagold, and Braeburn, lending the Cuvée a complex, intensely fruity aroma of apples with a delicate hint of tropical fruits and subtle spice. The fruit merges beautifully with the spicy melt on the palate and unfolds an impressive length.
The Apple Schnapps Cuvée is as much a pleasure on its own as it is with apple strudel and baked apple.

[title] => Quince Brandy
[content] => Our quince trees flourish directly around the Gaudententurm. It takes approximately seven kilograms of quince to produce 0.35 litres of brandy-due to a low yield, multiple harvests are often necessary to gather enough quantity for a new batch of our exquisite quince brandy. However, the effort is rewarded when the nose is greeted with a refreshing bouquet of blossoms and citrus fruits accompanied by subtle spices. [title] => Apricot Brandy
[content] => Christine gets the renowned "Vinschger Marille" (apricot from Venosta Valley) for her exquisite brandy from the fruit cooperative Silandro. The perfect ripening time is essential for a delicate fruit like the apricot. Timing is critical to achieving the utmost finesse in our apricot brandy. The delicate nature of the fruit demands careful attention to the perfect ripening stage. Despite the low yield, as it takes up to seven kilograms of harvested apricots to produce a 0.35-litre bottle, our patience is rewarded with a brandy that exudes unparalleled finesse. The apricot brandy strikes the senses with an intense apricot aroma, complemented by subtle notes of peach. A touch of citrus fruits and the delicate fragrance of jasmine blossoms enhance the brandy's elegance. It delivers a fresh, full-bodied, and fruity experience on the palate.
We recommend enjoying our apricot brandy pure in a glass. It also goes excellently with apricot dumplings, apricot strudel, and chocolate desserts.

[title] => Apple Brandy matured in a small Oak Barrel
[content] => This multi-layered apple brandy spends 12 months in a 50l oak barrel, which the South Tyrolean traditional business, Fassbinderei Mittelberger, specially produces for us. The slightly toasted barrel made of French oak subtly highlights the fruit rather than overshadowing it. In the glass, the apple brandy sparkles amber-yellow. The aroma of fresh apples, tangerine leaves, and lemon blossoms. Thanks to the storage in wood, aromas of white chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel are added. The apple brandy is elegant, silky, and pleasantly soft on the palate. It reminds us of a light rum.
